Our pastor did a similar sermon not that long ago. He also added what you dream about and think about shows what truly lies in your heart. What the two of you have said, along with the comments here really make me think. Even when I think I'm finally doing better God lets me know I'm still not there yet. Then those moments when you are being tried. When they are over, failure or success, do we stop for a second to review, weigh the good with the bad and make effort to retain that knowledge for future use? Continuing to ponder..... Great stuff. I totally agree. I find it's a really tough thing to work on though... i mean very few people are making demands on the nuances of our character in most of our day to day lives/jobs. I often attempt to battle things out myself, but I find it's so much more effective when i share my growth areas with people and have them keep me accountable and pour into my life...
